Abstract The paper reviews the issues of diagnosing the internal organ diseases via spectrum analysis of the cerebral bioelectric activity and offers the concept of multiple arousal functional status matrix caused by reticular brain formations. The concept serves as a basis for creating the spectrum analysis methods of diffuse bioelectrical cerebral activity and substantiating the system of frequency – topical coordinates used to display and analyze the information produced. The au- thors have developed basic principles for functional topical diagnostics of the internal organ diseases, namely, finding the focus of pathologically intensified excitation, inflammatory and neoplastic stages, and identified indices of the human health integral estimates. The results of the comparative spectral analysis of brain biopotential for the patients with ischemic optic nerve and primary open-angle glaucoma disorders according to electroencephalography are studied. The revealed specific features show the presence of brain activity desynchronization, and the increased amplitude of spectral estimation in certain frequency ranges of electroencephalography.
