Abstract The pressing problems of staff-training system research for nanoindustry development program implementing in Russia Federation using tools of foresight analysis were considered. Simulation model of systems dynamics taking into account an appeal of training sphere, dynamics of demographic indices, number of research assistant in the sphere of interest, staffing requirements in the organizations concerning nanotechnologies was constructed. The model proposed consists of three interconnected components describing the decision-making process in the entrance, in the studying of undergraduate and postgraduate students and in the job placement. The results of simulation modeling is that the negative factors influencing the staff-training system for nanotechnology development and critical variables defining the training level and number of high-quality specialists in nanotechnology were determined.
