Biography and Education
Vladimir Viktorovich Kureychik was born on February 26, 1966, in Taganrog. He graduated with honors from the Taganrog Radiotechnical Institute in 1990, specializing in "Design and Technology of Radioelectronic Equipment." Since 1991, he has worked at Southern Federal University, rising from an internship to department head.
Since 2002, he has headed the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Systems Department at the SFedU Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security. He has over 33 years of teaching experience.

- 1995 — Candidate of Engineering Sciences;
- 1998 — Associate Professor;
- 2001 — Doctor of Engineering Sciences;
- 2004 — Professor.
Publication Activity
V.V. Kureichik is the author of over 500 scientific papers, including:
- 22 monographs,
- over 250 articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, including 72 publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science,
- 4 textbooks and 14 teaching aids,
- 23 patents and 49 state registration certificates for computer programs.

- maximum number of citations per publication - 941.
His scientific results have been implemented in over 30 research projects and are used at leading Russian enterprises.
Scientific School
Under the leadership of V.V. Kureichik, the scientific school "Cognitive Bioinspired Technologies in Design and Decision Support Systems" was formed.
Organizer and scientific director of the annual International Congress "Intelligent Systems and Information Technologies," which includes a school-seminar for young scientists.
Chairman of the Rostov branch of the Russian Association of Artificial Intelligence, expert at the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation, and the KNF.
Teaching experience
Teaches his own lecture courses: "Genetic Algorithms," "Methods of Evolutionary Modeling," "Bioinspired Methods and Algorithms," "Machine Learning Methods," "Artificial Intelligence Technologies," and others.
Under his supervision and consulting, three doctoral and 18 candidate dissertations have been defended.
Editorial and expert work
- Editor-in-chief of the journal "Izvestia SFedU. Technical Sciences";
- Member of the editorial boards of five peer-reviewed journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission;
- Member of the program committees of IEEE international conferences (East-West Design and Test Symposium, AICT, etc.);
- Deputy Chairman of three dissertation councils at SFedU and M.I. Platov National Polytechnic Institute.

- 2008 — Award of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "For the Development of Student Research Work";
- 2011 — Honorary Title of "Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation";
- 2010 — S.P. Korolev Medal;
- 2022 — Laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation Prize in Education;
- 2022 — Laureate of the National Prize "Professor of the Year" in Engineering Sciences.
