Abstract There is shown the relevance of using a six-component sensor forces and moments of forces in the dynamometry complex. The operation of actually using a six-component sensor is described. The computation problems of the output strain gauges signals of the six-component sensor into forces and torques are discussed in details. The technique of testing six-component sensor of the forces and forces moments needed to obtain the desired output values from the strain signals is illustrated and described. According to experimental data the maximum measurement error in the calculation is evaluated by the method used previously. To reduce the maximum error we propose another method of calculating the forces and torques. The required calculations are considered in detail. The estimation of the maximum measurement error by the new method is carried out. Conclusions about the results of using the method are brought. Some aspects of its applicability in real-time systems due to the increased computational complexity are considered.
