Abstract Сlinical study results show the possibility of human mental state estimation by using few objective parameters. Particularly, a criterion to identify whether a human mental state is normal or pathological, using five skin conductance parameters, is synthesized. The mathematical data processing at the Clinic of Borderline Mental Disorders of Stavropol State Medical University resulted in the mathematical model of the human mental state reaction to the impact of mental health treatment medicines in the form of a transfer function matrix with each input-output pair. The obtained transfer matrix isn’t characterized by diagonal dominance. Hence, the transition to the transfer function matrix is performed using spatial modes by solution decomposition with vector eigenfunctions of object operator to synthesize the control system. Using the matrix of spatial mode transfer functions shows the possibility to synthesize the mental state control system by methods of distributed control systems.
