Abstract The paper considers the questions of diagnostics of complex technical objects in conditions of uncertainty. This problem is topical in the problems of, ensuring quality, reliability and efficient operation of technical facilities. The novelty of the proposed methods of information processing is to use the mathematical apparatus of fuzzy logic for the formalization of the expert knowledge about the types of problems and decision-making, as well as in the application of interval estimates in identifying the best of Pareto solutions in a multi-criteria problem. The proposed methods of formalized, convenient for computer realization and their subsequent verification in the diagnosis of various technical objects.
