Аннотация Посвящена анализу социального протеста в Шотландии в период обсуждения и подписания англо-шотландской парламентской унии 1707 г. В ней исследуются формы и география протеста, социальный состав участников выступлений, последствия восстаний, а также оценка выступлений, существующая в британской литературе. Автор приходит к выводу, что выступления 1705-1707 гг. являлись аниуниатскими по своей природе, что отличало их от социальных выступлений 1720-х гг.
